Many people nowadays are concerned about the liability for injuries that take place within the play area environment. These liabilities can be managed through a proper maintenance schedule and inspection programme that is fully recorded.
We are very aware that many town and parish councils find the costs of maintenance and inspection hard to find. Why not consider grouping together with other local Town and Parish Councils or even local community groups that manage their own facilities and ask us for a bespoke package?
If you are concerned about the management and responsibilities of looking after your facilities, why not ask about our training packages. We will come and take you through a half day or full day training session which will give you the confidence to be able to manage your play area. The course will cover items such as your responsibilities, Risk Assessments, Liability insurance, EN Standards, and on site inspection pointing out the main areas to look for and up to date court reports on cases that really do affect claims in the UK together with accident statistics. We will look at surfacing, fencing and various types of play equipment.
All we ask of you is to provide a suitable venue which has a nearby play area that we can use. You could also provide a buffet lunch and tea or coffee or we could provide it for you at extra cost. Ideally you should have around 20 - 25 people attend which will help offset the costs of running the training.
For one off maintenance inspections we charge £250.00 which will cover up to four hours on site and £100 in repleacement parts. You will be supplied with a full report detailing the results of the inspection together with any issues that require attention. Ideally you should have a quarterly maintenance inspection programme.
